Huts

Ferðafélag Íslands maintains 38 cottages in the entire country. During the summer time there is a warden in almost all the huts. Over the winter time the huts are locked but keys can be picked up at the office in Reykjavík.  

• It is necessary to book accommodation at least a month before the trip starts and to pay. Otherwise the place is not guaranteed.
• Payment is to be made by VISA or MASTERCARD when booking is made.
• Refund is as follows:
  14 days or more before arrival 80% af the amount
  7-14 days before arrival 50% of the amount
  One week or less - no refund
