In this trip we walk between desert farms east of Drangajökull. Participants have to organize their journey to Norðurfjörður Sunday 11th of June and spend the night in the FÍ hut Valgeirsstaðir. Accommodation during the trip will be in tents and later at the house in Reykjarfjörður. All luggage has to be carried between locations.
Day 1, Monday: Walk to Ingólfsfjörður, coffee break, hike to Ófeigsfjörður where we camp. In the evening walk to Húsárfoss.
Day 2: Hike to Drangavík. Camping at Drangavíkurá.
Day 3: Hike to Bjarnarfjörður, camping.
Day 4: Walk to Skjaldabjarnarvík and from there to Reykjarfjörður. Stay in hut.
Day 5 - 6: Daytrips, dip in the pool, blend in with the locals and stay in the hut.
Day 7: Boat trip to Norðurfjörður Sunday 18th July.
