In this trip we visit the old desert townships in Aðalvík, Hesteyri and Grunnavík, with main focus on the unique nature and history of those areas. Joint food but not included in price. Meet up in Ísafjörður the night before departure.
Day 1, Monday: Depature with boat from Ísafjörður to Sæból in Aðalvík on 12th of July. Hike with daypacks to Hesteyri with a stop at Staðarkirkja. Joint dinner. Luggage will be transported to Hesteyri.
Day 2 - 3: Enjoy Hesteyri: dayhikes, history, evening entertainment.
Day 4 Boat trip to Grunnavík.
Day 5 - 6: Enjoy Grunnavík.
Day 7: Walk the old post route over Snæfjallaheiði to Snæfjallaströnd where we take a boat to Æðey, where we meet the farmer and visit the island before departure to Ísafjörður.
