Visit the bird nature reserve with one of Icelands' leading ecologists. Participants carry a full backpack for 6 days and stay in tents. Many streams and rivers need to be crossed during the hike, some of them can be demanding (depends on weather).

Day 1: Departure at 8am from Mörkinni 6 in 108 Reykjavík. Transport into the interior and 0km hike to Arnarfell. Camping.

Day 2: Day trip onto Arnarfell (1137m), camping at same place.

Day 3: Hiking to Múlajökull (15km, rather plain terrain) and camping at Nautalda.

Day 4: Day trips up some peaks and to a glacial lagoon. Possibility to wash yourself, so bring a bathing suit

Camping at same place.

Day 5: Day trip to Oddkelsver. Camping at same place again.

Day 6: Hiking to Setrið (ca. 12 km) and return to Reykjavík.
