A hike off the beaten path: from Norðingarfljót along Eiríksjökull up to Langjökull, over Arnarvatnsheiði and down into Miðfjörður. Participants have to carry everything apart from their food.

Day 1: Departure by bus at 1pm from Mörkin 6 in 108 Reykjavík. Stopover at the cave Surtshellir. Luggage will be transported to this nights' accommodation. Hike to Álftakrókur (about 9 km) where warm food will be waiting.

Day 2: Walk to the hut in Fljótsdrög (ca 18 km). Stay there for two nights.

Day 3: Daytrip onto the crater in Hallmundarhraun, about 18 km. 

Day 4: 20km hike from Fljótsdrög over Langajörfi, crossing Skammá, between Réttarvatn amd Arnarvatn. Walk by Sesseljuvík to Lónaborg by Grandalón. Stay there for 2 nights.

Day 5: Enjoy Lónaborg and fishing.                      

Day 6: A relaxed 5 km hike to a road where the bus will wait. Bus trip to Hvammstangi where we dip in the pool. Dinner in Brekkulækur before returning by bus to Reykjavík.

Price:  50.000 / 55.000 ISK                
Included: Accommodation, Food (6 x dinner, 5 x breakfasts, 5 x lunch), bus trips, fishing permission, swimming in Hvammstangi and guiding.
