Jarlhettur – Hagavatn – Hlöðuvellir – Skjaldbreiður -  Laugarvatn - Klukkuskarð  4 Days

Walk by Jarlhettur mountain ridge by Langjökull towards Laugavatn. Experience the wonders of desert highland by the glacier and walk into the vegetation as we walk to Laugarvatn. 13 to 20 km walk per day or about 5 to 9 hours. Luggage transported between huts. The huts are small, so the first to book may select if they stay in the huts or in tents. Joint food not included in the price. 

Day 1: Departure from Laugarvatn at 9:00 with bus to Skálpanes where the walk starts. Walk by Jarlhettur and Langjökull to the hut by Hagavatn.

Day 2: Walk west Lambahraun to the FÍ hut south of Hlöðufell.

Day 3: Walk west Skjaldbreið, and up the mountain if desired, to the Karl and Kerling hut.

Day 4: Walk south Langadalur through Klukkuskarð and from there down to Hjálmsstaðir in Laugarvatn. Local food feast served in Hjálmsstaðir.

Price: 55.000/60.000
Included: accommodation, luggage transport, guiding, swimming in Laugarvatn, local food and food in Stöng.
