Trip in cooperation with Arinbjörn Jóhannsson from Brekkulækur in Miðfjörður
28. July – 2. August

1.d. Tuesday: Departure with bus at 13:00 from Mörkin 6 to Norðlingafljót with a stopover in Surtshellir on the way. Walk to Álftakrókur (about 9 km) where warm food will be waiting. Accommodation in a farmer’s hut.

2. d. Wednesday: Walk to the hut in Fljótsdrög (ca 18 km). Stay there for two nights.

3. d. Thursday:  Walk up the crater in Hallmundarhraun, about 18 km day. Accommodation in the hut in Fljótsdrög.

4.d. Friday: Walk from Fljótsdrög over Langajörfi, crossing Skammá, between

Réttarvatn amd Arnarvatn. Walk by Sesseljuvík to Lónaborg by Grandalón.

Stay there 2 nights. About 20 km day.

5. d. Saturday: Enjoy Lónaborg.                      

6.d. Sunday: Walk 5 km long way to the road from Miðfjörður to Arnavatn. Bus trip to Hvamstangi ,where we dip in the pool. Dinner in Brekkulækur before a bus trip to Reykjavík.

Price:  48.000/53.000                
Included: Accommodation, Food (6 x dinner, 5 x breakfasts, 5 x lunch), bus trips, fishing permission, swimming in Hvammstangi and guiding.
