Lónsöræfi - Stafafellsfjöll

1st - 4th August

Day 1: Departure from Stafafell at 9:00 on 1st August. Drive to Múladalur (Geithelladalur). Walk to Kollumúlavatn in Víðidalur where we stay the first night.

Approx. 8-10 hour walk.

Day 2: Walk to the Múlaskáli hut through Leiðatungur. Approx. 4-5 hour walk.

Day 3: Walk to Illikambur to Kambagil by Jökulsá in Lón overnight in Ásavötn. Approx. 5-6 hour walk.

Day 3: Walk over the new bridge over Jökulsá to Stafafell where the trip ends. Approx. 5-6 hour walk.

Passengers carry their luggage the first two days. Luggage transported the next two days.
