The Höskuldsskáli hut in Hrafntinnusker is operated by Ferðafélag Íslands (The Iceland Touring Association, FÍ) and accommodates 52 people.

The hut has two floors. On the ground floor is an entrance hall, a kitchen (with utensils, gas stoves and cold, running water) and a dormitory. The loft includes the warden's quarters as well as sleeping bag accommodation with mattresses. The dormitory has single bunks and double bunks (with mattresses).

A toilet with latrines and sinks are located behind the hut and a big patio surrounds the hut and connects the hut with the latrines. There are no showers in the area. Another latrine/outhouse is located at the camping ground below the hut. The camping is on sand and gravel only.

Since the hut is not accessible by cars, all guests are asked to take their trash along with them and leave nothing behind at the lodge.

The first hut in Hrafntinnusker was built in the year 1977 to service hikers on the Laugavegur Trail.
