Camping

Camping is possible by all our huts. Hikers are expected to have confirmed bookings for huts or campsites before starting their trek.

Please talk to the warden before you put up your tent.

Campers cannot use the kitchen or other facilities in the huts but do have access to the bathrooms and drinking water as well as outdoor tables and benches.

• Landmannalaugar, Hrafntinnusker, Emstrur and Thorsmörk have common tents or shelters for campers to use for cooking or eating. Campers need to bring their own cooking gear.
• Everyone must take their litter with them from Hrafntinnusker, Emstrur and Baldvinsskali to the next hut.
• Showers are available for a fee in Landmannalaugar, Álftavatn, Hvanngil, Emstrur and Þórsmörk.

Overnight stays are only allowed in huts and designated campgrounds.
