Camping

Camping is possible by all our huts.
Hikers are expected to have confirmed bookings for huts or campsites before starting their trek.
Please talk to the warden before you put up your tent.
You can pay with credit card and ISK cash.
Campers cannot use the kitchen or other facilities in the huts.
Campers have access to the bathrooms and drinking water as well as outdoor tables and benches.
Showers are available for 1100 ISK for 5 min.
There are no showers in Hrafntinnusker or Baldvinsskali.
Everyone must take their litter with them from Hrafntinnusker, Emstrur and Baldvinsskali to the next hut.
Landmannalaugar, Emstrur and Thorsmörk have common tents for campers to use for cooking or eating. Campers need to bring their own cooking gear.
Camping on designated camping areas is recommended for sanitary reasons.
