Guests are at their own risk in the cabins and campsites of Ferðafélag Íslands.

The Icelandic Touring Association strives to minimize the risk of disease in accordance to the Ministry of Health in Iceland, by ensuring clean environment at our huts and camping grounds.

We have adapted our cleaning processes at each of our hut location to minimize the risk of spread of COVID-19. We also urge our guests to participate with us by using disinfectants and hand sanitizers, which are provided at the huts and WC´s.

We remind our guests that they travel at their own risk.

Huts:

We kindly ask only one member of each group to use the kitchen facilities to cook, as this minimizes the kitchen traffic. Tables and kitchen counters should be disinfected before and after each meal preparation and all pots, pans, plates, cutlery etc. should be washed thoroughly with soap and hot water after use. All food leftovers should be thrown away.

We have restrictions to how many people can enter each WC, and we urge people to disinfect common areas after use; i.e. table and handles.

A few of our huts do not have wardens throughout the season. These huts will be cleaned when opened and provided with sufficient amount of disinfetants and hand sanitizers. We also encourage our guests to clean the hut at arrival but after each stay the hut should be cleaned thoroughly and all rubbish taken away.

Camping:

Groups travelling together can camp close to each other, but we encourage campers to maintain 4 meters distance from other groups or individuals.

Instructions concerning COVID-19 will be located in our camping area but we encourage you to ask our hut wardens for help if questions or concerns arise.

We have restrictions to how many people can enter each WC, and we urge people to disinfect common areas after use; i.e. table and handles.
